Every July, you see colorful explosions. They’re usually a few hundred feet up in the air and elicit oohs and aahs. But if you’re unlucky, they can also erupt in the toilet and prompt prayers for a quick death. Summer is the season for barbecues, pool parties, and camping trips–all settings that can light the fuse of gastrointestinal fireworks.
